The Bør is a two mast gaff ketch of the ‘ Baltic Trader” type, built in 1992 and with an overall length of . Her underwater hull is based on the lines of Colin Archer, well known for his fast and seaworthy vessels which where mainly used by the Scandinavian Salvage Associations. A pilot house provides shelter during less comfortable circumstances.

The Bør is a comfortable and seaworthy vessel with ample space on deck. The sail handling is done in the traditional way which gives our guests the opportunity to participate. The vessel is equipped with modern navigation and communication aids.

The accommodations consist of 2 two persons and 2 four persons cabins for 12 passengers in total. There are 2 toilets, a spacious shower, a comfortable salon and a well equipped galley. The Bør offers comfortable and good accommodations for a sailing vessel her size. The vessel is fully certified to carry up to 12 passengers.

Life is too short to drink poor wine, this expression is the guide line for life on board of the Bør.

Doing what you feel that you want to do is the most important thing while being on a holiday. Personal wishes will be taken into account. Sail voyages will be alternated by walks ashore, exploring small villages and enjoying the rich flora and fauna.

Diana will take care of the catering on board. A breakfast with eggs and fresh bread will make a good start in the morning. At noon a lunch will be served and at evening a three course dinner. Of course there will be plenty of fresh fish, self caught if we are lucky, and if we are not we will have it caught for us. During the day coffee and tea will be available. Wine, beer and soft drinks are on board but will be charged separately. Liquor is not available on board due to the high prices in

Norway. We advise you to buy your own at the airport if you want to have some with you.

Hans de Koning and Diana Venneman are the owners of the Bør and will be your host and hostess on board.

Hans and Diana have been  sailing together since 1986 at various vessels. Hans has sailed numerous commercial cargo vessels, after completing nautical college, when Diana joined him on various occasions during the summer periods as cook. In a later stage they have changed commercial vessels for sailing vessels. Hans holds diplomas for Ocean Going commercial vessels and Ocean Going sailing vessels.

In addition to sailing with the Bør, Diana owns a company which is specialized in development and improvement of marketing concepts. During the off-season Hans is working as a marine surveyor for deep sea and coastal vessels and project manager and consultant for maritime projects. He is carrying out numerous condition surveys on board of commercial crafts.
